ADMINISTRATION OF MUSLIM LAW (10TH AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 2000

Section 4. Change of name not to discharge liability.

(i) Any usage of the term Chairman of Fatwa Committee in any written law or in any document which exists before the enforcement of this Enactment, shall, when this Enactment is inforced, is referred as to the usage of the term Mufti.

(ii) Any change of the previous name shall not affect any privilege right, liability, duty or obligation of the Chairman of Fatwa Committee or will handicapped any legal proceedings by or against him; and any legal proceedings proceed or initiate by or against him before the enforcement of this Enactment, may be proceed or initiate under the new name.
