ADMINISTRATION OF MUSLIM LAW ENACTMENT (FOURTH AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 1984

Section 2. Amendment

The principal Enactment is hereby amended as follows:

Section 143 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "one hundred" for the words "twenty-five" appearing in the 5th line, and substituting the words "one month or both" for the words "one week" appearing in the 6th line.

Section 144 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "one hundred ringgit or for a term of imprisonment not exceeding one month or both" for the words "twenty-five dollars" appearing in the 4th line, and substituting the words "two hundred ringgit or for a term or imprisonment not exceeding two months or both" for the words "fifty dollars" appearing in the 5th line.

Section 145 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "one hundred ringgit or for a term of imprisonment not exceeding one month or both" for the words "twenty-five dollars" appearing in the 10th line, and substituting the words "two hundred ringgit or for a term of imprisonment not exceeding two months or both" for the words "fifty dollars" appearing in the 11th line.

Section 147 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "one hundred" for the words "twenty-five" appearing in the 4th line, and substituting the words "one month or both" for the words "one week" appearing in the 5th line.

Section 148 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "one month" for the words "fourteen days" appearing in the 6th line, and substituting the words "one hundred" for the words "fifty" appearing in the 7th line.

Section 149 (1) -

Is hereby amended by substituting the word "three" for the word "two" and substituting the words "five hundred" for the words "two hundred" appearing in the 8th line, substituting the word "six" for the word "three" appearing in the 10th line and substituting the words "one thousand ringgit or both" for the words "three hundred dollars" appearing in the 11th line.

Section 149 (2) -

Is hereby amended by substituting the word "three" for the word "two", words "five hundred ringgit or both" for the words "two hundred dollars" appearing in the 4th line, and substituting the word "six" for the word "three" and the words " one thousand ringgit or both" for the words "three hundred dollars" appearing in the 7th line.

Section 150 (1) -

Is hereby amended by substituting the word "two" for the word "one" appearing in the 4th line, the words "three hundred" for the words "one hundred" appearing in the 5th line and the words "three hundred" for the words "two hundred" appearing in the 8th line.

Section 150 (2) -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "two months" for the words "seven days" appearing in the 3rd line and substituting the words "three hundred ringgit or both" for the words "twenty-five dollars" appearing in the 4th line.

Section 151 (1) -

Is hereby amended by adding the words "or both" after the word "dollar" appearing in the 8th line, and substituting the words "one thousand ringgit or both" for the words "five hundred dollars" appearing in the 12th line.

Section 151 (2) -

Is hereby amended by substituting the word "six" for the word "three", the words "one thousand dollars or both" for the words "five hundred dollars" appearing in the 6th line and substituting the word "six" for the word "three", the words "one thousand dollars or both" for the words "two hundred and fifty dollars"appearing in the 10th line.

Section 153 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "two month" for the words "one month" and the words "three hundred ringgit or both" for the words "one hundred dollars" appearing in the 7th line.

Section 154 (1) -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "one hundred" for the words "fifty" appearing in the 4th line, and adding the words "or both" after the word "month" appearing in the 5th line.

Section 154 (2) -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "one hundred" for the words "fifty" appearing in the 8th line and adding the words "or both" after the words "month" appearing in the 9th line.

Section 154 (3) -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "two months" for the words "one month" and the words "three hundred ringgit or both" for the words "one hundred dollars" appearing in the 6th line.

Section 155 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "one hundred ringgit or for a term of imprisonment not exceeding one month or both" for the words "twenty-five dollars" appearing in the 5th line.

Section 156 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "one hundred ringgit or for a term of imprisonment not exceeding one month or both" for the words "twenty-five dollars" appearing in the 4th line.

Section 157 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "five hundred ringgit or both" for the words "two hundred and fifty dollars" appearing in the 10th line.

Section 158 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "five hundred ringgit or both" for the words "two hundred and fifty dollars" appearing in the 6th line.

Section 159 -

Is hereby amended by adding the words "or for a term of imprisonment not exceeding six months or both" after the word "dollar" appearing in the 6th line.

Section 160 (1) -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "three months" for the words "one month" and the words "five hundred ringgit or both" for the words "one hundred dollars" appearing in the 6th line.

Section 161 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the word "six" for the word "three" and the words "one thousand ringgit or both" for the words "two hundred and fifty dollars" appearing in the 5th line.

Section 162 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the word "six" for the word "three" appearing in the 6th line and the words "one thousand ringgit or both" for the words " two hundred and fifty dollars" appearing in the 6th line.

Section 163 (1) -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "one thousand ringgit or both" for the words "five hundred dollars" appearing in the 10th line.

Section 164 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "six months" for the words "one month" appearing in the 7th line and the words "one thousand ringgit or both" for the words "one hundred dollars" appearing in the 8th line.

Section 165 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "six months" for the words "one month" and the words "one thousand ringgit or both" for the words "one hundred dollars" appearing in the 7th line.

Section 166 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "one thousand ringgit or both" for the words "five hundred dollars" appearing in the 9th line.

Section 167 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "three months" for the words "one month" appearing in the 4th line and the words "five hundred ringgit or both" for the words "one hundred dollars" appearing in the 5th line.

Section 168 -

Is hereby amended by substituting the words "five hundred ringgit or both" for the words "two hundred and fifty dollars" appearing in the 4th line.
