Section 44. Constitution of Religious Courts.

(1) His Highness the Sultan in Council may by notification in the Gazette constitute a Court of the Kathi Besar for the State.

(2) His Highness the Sultan in Council may by notification in the Gazette constitute Courts of Kathis at such places as he may deem fit, and may prescribe the local limits of jurisdiction of such Courts.
