Section 29. Acting in emergency.

In any case of emergency the President may, after consultation with the Mufti or in his absence the Kathi Besar, do or direct to be done on behalf of the Majlis any act or thing whih might lawfully be done by resolution of the Majlis:

Provided that in any such case a meeting of the Majlis shall be called within one week thereafter for the purpose of ratifying and confirming the action taken and, if the Majlis shall decline to ratify and confirm the same, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong may give such directions thereon as he may deem fit.
