ENACTMENT No. 1 Of 1959 ADMINISTRATION OF MUSLIM LAW
PART I - PRELIMINARY
Section 1. Short title.
This Enactment may be cited as the Administration of Muslim Law Enactment, 1959, and shall come into force on such day as the Yang di-Pertua Agong may by notification in the Gazette appoint:
Provided that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong may from time to time by notification in the Gazette appoint different dates for the coming into force of different provision or Parts of this Enactment in different parts of the State;
And provided further that the provisions of section 89 (2) shall not come into force except upon the repeal of the Muslim and Hindu Endowments Ordinance in accordance with section 171 (1).
