PART IX - OFFENCES
Section 147. Disobedience of wife.
Any woman who wilfully disobeys any order law-fully given by her husband in accordance with Muslim law shall be guilty of an offence punishable with a fine not exceeding ten dollars, or, in the case of a second or subsequent offence, with imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven days or with fine not exceeding fifty dollars:
Provided that it shall be a sufficient defence to any prosecution under this section that the husband has on more than one occasion during the preceding year abused or ill-treated the accused.
