PART IX - OFFENCES



Section 166. Attempts and abetment.

(1) Whoever attempts to commit, or abets the commission of any offence against this Enactment shall be guilty of an offence punishable with the same punishment provided for such offence.

(2) Any person, whether or not he professes the Muslim religion, who abets another in the commission of an offence against sub-section (2) of section 156 of this Enactment, shall be guilty of an offence cognizable by a Civil Court and punishable in accordance with sub-section (1) of this section.
