Seksyen 35, Enakmen ibu adalah dipinda dengan memasukkan selepas sahaja subseksyen 6, subseksyen baru (7) yang berikut:

"(7) Whenever the Mufti proposes to issue a fatwa under section 36, he shall call a meeting of the Legal Committee to deliberate on the matter in which the fatwa is required to be issued." .
