Enakmen ibu adalah dipinda dengan memasukkan selepas sahaja seksyen 37, seksyen baru 37 A yang berikut:

"Section 37A. Fatwa by Mufti on Muslim Law.

If in any Civil Court, any question of Muslim Law falls for decision, and such Court requests the opinion of the Mufti, he shall give his opinion thereon and certify such opinion to the requesting Court.".
