ENACTMENT A11 CRIMINAL OFFENCES IN THE SYARAK (AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 2007
Section 2. New section 27A.
The Criminal Offences in the Syarak Enactment 1991, which is referred to as the “principal Enactment” is amended by inserting after section 27 the following section:
27A. (1) Any person who gambles or is found at a gambling place shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on convition to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or both.
(2) For the purpose of subsection (1)—
“gambling place” means any premises, whether open or close, and includes a room, an office or a stall, which is used or maintained for gambling, whether the public has access to it or not.”
