ENACTMENT NO. 8 OF 1986 KELANTAN COUNCIL OF ISLAMIC RELIGION AND MALAY CUSTOM (AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 1986
Section 3. Amendment of section 58.
Section 58 of the principal Enactment is amended by substituting for section 58, the following new section 58:
"Conversion
58. (1) Any person wishes to be admitted to the Islamic religion, he shall utter dua kalimah syahadah, before any Muslim and shall thereafter appear before any Qadhi.
(2) The Qadhi shall make enquiry as to the age of such person, and to his desire to be admitted to the Islamic religion.
(3) If the Qadhi is satisfied as to the desire and age of the person according to Hukum Syarak the Qadhi may send him to the Majlis for registration.".
