ENACTMENT NO. 8 OF 1986 KELANTAN COUNCIL OF ISLAMIC RELIGION AND MALAY CUSTOM (AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 1986
Section 11. Amendment of section 68.
(1) Section 68 (1) of the principal Enactment is amended by substituting for the words "shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term not exceeding one month or with fine not exceeding $250" the words "shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to both.".
(2) Section 68 (2) of the principal Enactment is amended by substituting for the words "shall be guilty of an offence and punishable with imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or a fine not exceeding $1,000" the words "shall be guilty of an offence and shall on convictjon be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or to a fine not exceeding five thousand ringgit or to both.".
