Section 5. Amendment of section 61.
Section 61 of the principal Enactment is amended by substituting for the words "shall be guilty of an offence punishable with a fine not exceeding $100 or imprisonment not exceeding one month or both" the words "shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding three hundred ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to "both" and by substituting for the words "not exceeding $300 or imprisonment not exceeding 3 months or both" the words "to a fine not exceeding five thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years and shall also be liable to whipping." .
