ADMINISTRATION OF MUSLIM LAW (AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 1976

Section 2. Amendment of section 49A of Enact. No. 9/1962.

Section 49A of the Administration of Muslim Law Enactment, 1962 is hereby amended -

(i) by inserting the words "and other States in Malaysia" immediately after the word "Singapore" appearing in the marginal note thereof;

(ii) by inserting the words "or any State in Malaysia" immediately after the word "Singapore" and by inserting the words and comma "Kadi Besar" immediately before the words "a Kadi or Naib Kadi" wherever they appear.

Passed in the Legislative Assembly this 23rd day of May, 1976 corresponding to the 23rd day of Jamadilawal, 1396.
