ENACTMENT NO. 2 OF 2000 ADMINISTRATION OF THE SYARIAH COURT ENACTMENT 1991 (AMENDMENT) 1996
Section 2. Amendment of the section 2.
Section 2 sub-section (1) of the Enactment is amended as follows -
(a) by deleting the terms "Appeal Committees", "Kadi" and "Kadi Besar";
(b) by inserting the terms "Jawatankuasa Peguam Syarie" means "the committee which has been appointed under Rule 4(1) of the Peguam Syarie Rules 1995";
(c) by adding the following terms before the term "Court":
"The Syariah Subordinate Court Judge" means a Judge appointed under section 6D.;
"The Syariah High Court Judge" means a Judge appointed under section 6B;
"Chief Syarie Judge" means a person duly appointed under section 6(1).
(d) by deleting the term "Court" and replacing the same with the following:
"Court" means "Syariah Appeal Court, Syariah High Court and Syariah Subordinate Court as applicable."
