ENACTMENT NO. 4 OF 1992 ISLAMIC FAMILY LAW (AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 1992
Section 4. Amendment to section 8.
The principal Enactment is amended by substituting section 8 with the following:
" Restriction to marriage. 8. (1) No man or woman shall mary a non-Muslim.
(2) No marriage shall be solemnized under this Enactment if the prospective husband is under the age of eighteen years or the prospective wife is under the age of sixteen years except with the written consent of a Syar'iah Judge.".
