ENACTMENT NO. 2 OF 1960 ADMINISTRATION OF THE LAW OF THE RELIGION OF ISLAM (AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 1960
Section 14. New section 39A.
The following new section is hereby inserted immediately after section 39 of the principal Enactment:
“Section39A. Power of revision.
Any member of the Religious Appeal Court may call for and cause to be examined by the said Court the record of any civil or criminal proceedings before the Court of a Kathi or Chief Kathi for the purpose of satisfying the said Courts as to the correctness, legality or propriety of any finding, sentence or order recorded or passed, and as to the regularity of any proceedings of such Court. After examining such record the Religious Appeal Court may exercise any of the powers conferred on it by sub-section (4) of section 38.”.
