ENACTMENT NO. 2 OF 1989 CONTROL OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS SCHOOLS (AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 1989
Section 3. Amendment of section 8.
Section 8 of the principal Enactment is substituted with the following-
"Section 8. Powers of the Board.
The Board shall be the trustee to of the Religious School and shall have power to do all things expedient or reasonably necessary or incidental to the discharge of
its duties and in particular, but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing-
(a) to acquiTe, purchase, take, hold, enjoy movable or immovable property of every description and to convey, assign, surrender, yield, charge, mortgage, demise, reassign, transfer or otherwise dispose of, or deal with or develop any movable or immovable property or any interest therein vested in the Board upon such terms as it deems fit;
(b) to enter into any arrangement with the State or Federal Government or authority that may seem conducive to the Board's duties or any of them and to obtain from the Government or such authority any rights, privileges and concessions which the Board may think it '.desirable to obtain and to carry out, exercise and comply with any such arrangements, rights, privileges and concessions;
(c) to do all such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the duties and the exercise of the powers of the Board.".
