ADMINISTRATION OF THE RELIGION OF ISLAM AND THE MALAY CUSTOM
OF PAHANG (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) ENACTMENT 1989

Section 2. Amedment of section 2

Section 2 of the Administration of the Religion of Islam and the Malay Custom of Pahang Enactment 1982 [Enact. 8/82], which in this Enactment is referred to as the "principal Enactment", is amended by -

(a) substituting for the interpretation of "court" the following-

' "Court" means the Court of the Kadi Besar and the Court of a Kadi constituted under section 42;'; and

(b) inserting, immediately after the interpretation of "pegawai masjid", the interpretation of "Peguam Syariah" as follows -

' "Peguam Syariah" means the person who has been admitted as a Peguam Syariah and who has been issued by the Majlis a Sijil Peguam Syariah which enables him to appear and represent any party in any Court or the Court of Appeal under this Enactment; '.
