ENACTMENT NO 6 OF 1993 ISLAMIC FAMILY LAW (STATE OF PENANG) (AMENDMENT) ENCTMENT 1993
Section 2. Amendment of section 2
Section 2 of the Islamic Family Law (State of Penang) Enactment 1985(E.n 2/85)which in this Enactment is referred to as "the principal Enactment" is amended:
(a) by substituting the word "bahawa" with the word "bahaya" in the Bahasa Malaysia text of the interpretation of "darar syarie";
(b) by adding immediately after the word "mind" in the interpretation of "darar syarie," the word "maruah";
(c) by substituting for the interpretation of "Hukum Syara'" the following:
'" Hukum Syara'" means Islamic Laws in any of the lawful sects;'; and
(d) by inserting immediately after the interpretation of "nasab" the following interpretation:
'''pemberian'' means gifts in the form of cash or kind given by the husband to the wife at the time of betrothal or marriage;';
