ENACTMENT A18 ADMINISTRATION OF THE SYARIAH COURT (AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 2009
Section 2. Amendment of section 2
The Administration of the Syariah Court Enactment 1982 [Enactment 3/1982], which in this Enactment is referred to as the “principal Enactment” is amended in section 2—
(a) by inserting after the definition “Government” the following definition-
“Hukum Syarak” means hukum syarak in accordance to mazhab Syafie or in accordance to any of mazhab Maliki, Hanafi or Hambali; and
(b) by substituting for the definition of “Majlis” the following definition-
“Majlis” means the Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Istiadat Melayu Kelantan established under section 5 of the Council of the Religion of Islam and Malay Custom, Kelantan, Enactment 1994 or any other written law.
