ADMINISTRATION OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS (TERENGGANU) (AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 2012

Section 13. Amendment of section 57

Section 57 of the principal Enactment is amended–

(a) in subsection (1), by inserting after the words “any person”

the words “who is a Muslim and”;

(b) in subsection (3)–

(i) in paragraph (a), by inserting after the words “Legal” the words “ who is a Muslim”; and

(ii) by deleting the word “or” at the end of the paragraph (a);

(iii) in paragraph (b), by inserting after the words “any person” the words “ who is a Muslim”; and

(iv) by inserting after paragraph (b) the following paragraph:

(d) any officer is deemed eligible by the Majlis,”;and

(i) by inserting after the words “ any person” the words “who is a Muslim”; and

(ii) by substituting for the words “ shall be ” the word “may”.
