ENACTMENT NO. 9 OF 1991 ADMINISTRATION OF THE SYARIAH COURT (AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 1991
Section 6. Amendment of section 10.
Section 10 of principle Enactment is hereby amended as follows:
(a) by substituting a new subsection (1) as follows:
"(1) In it's criminal jurisdiction, try any offence committed by a Muslim and punished under this Enactment or any other written law so providing and may impose any punishment therefor provided."; and
(b) subsection (2) is amended by substituting the word "thirty thousand ringgit" for the words "ten thousand ringgit" appearing immediately after the words "exceed" in line five; and
(c) by inserting a new subsection (3) as follows:
"(3) An appeal shall lie to the Syariah High Court from any decision of the Syariah Subordinate Court. ".
