ADMINISTRATION OF MUSLIM LAW (AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 1989

Section 6. New section 37A.

The principal Enactment is amended by inserting, immediately after section 37, the foHowing new section 37A:

"Section 37A. Fatwa by Mufti on Muslim Law.

If in any Civil Court, any question of Muslim Law falls for decision, and such Court requests the opinion of the Mufti, he shall give his opinion thereon and certify such opinion to the requesting Court.".

Passed in the State Legislative Assembly on the 6th September, 1989.
