ENACTMENT A3 ADMINISTRATION OF THE SYARIAH COURT (AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 2006
Section 5. Amendment of section 9
Section 9 of the principal Enactment is amended by inserting after subsection (3) the following subsections:
“(4) upon the Court calling for record of any matter or proceeding under subsection (3) all proceedings in the Syariah Subordinate Court of the matter or proceeding in question shall be stayed pending further order of the Court.
(5) Nothing in this section shall prevent the Chief Syariah Judge to sit as the Judge of the Syariah High Court and to preside the Court.
