Section 2. Amendment of section 4
The Control and Restriction of the Propagation of Non-Islamic religions Enactment 1981 [Enactment 11/1981], which in this Enactment is referred to as the ‘principal Enactment’, is amended in subsection 4(2) by substituting for the words “is liable to a fine of ten thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for one year or to both” the words “shall on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding ten thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to both and shall also be liable to whipping”.
