ADMINISTRATION OF MUSLIM LAW (AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 1988

Section 4. New section 166A.

The principal Enactment is amended by inserting immediately after section 166 the following new section 166A:

"Section 166A. Gambling.

(1) Any person who is found at any gambling place, whether he takes part in any of the gambling activities therein or not is guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be sentenced to a term of imprisonment not exceeding three months or to a fine not exceeding two hundred and fifty ringgit, or in the case of subsequent conviction be sentenced to both imprisonment and fine.

(2) The premises shall be deemed to be used or kept as a gambling place if it is used for that purpose even on one occasion only.".
