ENACTMENT NO. 4 OF 1992 ISLAMIC FAMILY LAW (AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 1992
Section 2. Amendment to section 2.
Section 2 of the Islamic Family Law Enactment 1984, hereinafter referred to as "the principal Enactment", is amended by-
(a) deleting ";" in the interpretation of "Syar'iah Judge" and adding the words "and any person appointed to perform the function of judge of a Syar'iah Court."; and
(b) inserting immediately after the interpretation "nasab" the following interpretation-
"pemberian" means gift in the form of cash or kind given by the husband to his wife at the time of their betrothal or marriage;".
