ENACTMENT NO. 5 OF 2001 ADMINISTRATION OF ISLAMIC LAW (AMENDMENT) ENACTMENT 2001
Section 2. Amendment of section 65
The Administration of Islamic Law Enactment 1991 [Enactment No. 3 of 1991], which in this Enactment is referred to as the “principal Enactment”, is amended in section 65 by inserting after subsection (4) the following subsection:
“(5) Any person who immediately before the coming into operation of this Enactment was holding the office of Religious Inspectors shall be deemed to be Religious Enforcement Officers and shall have the powers provided in subsection (4) or in any other written law relating to the Religion of Islam.”.
