(a) by substituting for the definition of " Lord President" the following definition:
' " Chief Justice" means the Chief Justice of the Federal Court;';
(b) by inserting after the definition of " penghulu" the following definition:
' " Peninsular Malaysia" means the States of Johore, Kedah, Kelantan, Malacca, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Penang, Perak, Perlis, Selangor and Trengganu and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur;';
(c) in the definition of " Rules Committee" , by substituting for the words " Supreme Court" the words " Federal Court, the Court of Appeal" ;
(d) by deleting the definition of " West Malaysia" ; and
(e) by substituting for the definition of " writing" the following definition:
' " writing" or " written" includes type-writing, printing, lithography, photography, electronic storage or transmission or any other method of recording information or fixing information in a form capable of being preserved;'.
(2) All references to " West Malaysia" in any written law shall be construed as references to " Peninsular Malaysia" .
