PART V - PROCEDURE-GENERAL



Section 22. Summons to give evidence or produce documents.

(1) Subject to the provisions of any other written law the Court may issue a summons to any person (whether professing the Muslim religion or not) to give evidence or to produce any document in his possession or power.

(2) Every such summons shall specify the documents, if any, required to be produced, and be served personally on the person legally bound to comply therewith.

(3) The Court may, before issuing such summons, order the payment to the person upon whom the said summons is to be served of reasonable travelling and subsistence expenses.
