PART IV - BOARD

Section 12. Qualifications of members of the Board.

A person is qualified to be a member of the Board, if he is---

(a)

a Malaysian citizen;

(b)

of good character;

(c)

not a bankrupt; and

(d)

has not been convicted of any criminal offence under any written law punishable for 1 year imprisonment or more:

Provided that the Majlis may, if it is satisfied that there are special circumstances in relation to any particular person and is not contrary to the public interest to do so, exempt the person from any or all of the above qualifications.
