Section 169. Contempt of religious authorities.

Whoever fails to comply with "my order of His Royal Highness the Sultan in his capacity as Head of the Religion of the State or any lawful direction from the Majlis, any of its committees or officers or a judgment order or direction of any Court including the Court of Appeal or of a presiding officer thereof or a pegawai masjid shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding two hundred and fifty ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to both.
