PART XI - OFFENCES
Section 122. Improper retention of funds.
(1) Any pegawai masjid who having by virtue of his office received any habuan or other monies which under the provisions of this Enactment are divisible among the pegawai masjid of his kariah, improperly retains the said habuan or monies or fails to account therefor shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to a fine not exceeding two hundred and fifty dollars.
(2) A Court trying an offence under sub-section (1) may summarily order payments to be made out of the habuan or monies aforesaid to any persons entitled thereto.
(3) No prosecution under this section shall be brought later than eighteen months after the date of the commission of the offence.
