Section 38. Amendment, modification or revocation of fatwa.
(1) The Mufti may on his own initiative or on the request of any person made by letter addressed to the Mufti, or on the direction of His Royal Highness the Sultan, amend, modify or revoke any fatwa issued by him or by any previous Mufti.
(2) Any amendment, modification or revocation of a fatwa shall be deemed to be a fatwa and the provisions of subsections (2), (3) and (4) of section 36 and subsection (2) of section 37 shall apply thereto.
(3) Any amendment, modification or revocation of a fatwa shall cite that it is made pursuant to the provisions of subsection (1).
