PART VIII - PLEADINGS

Section 65. Form of defence.

(1) Every defence shall be signed by the defendant or his Peguam Syaric and shall-

(a)

either admit or deny every material allegation of the fact in the statement of claim;

(b)

state concisely any new facts on which the defendant relies by way of defence: and

(c)

raise concisely and without argument any necessary matters of law.

(2) A denial under paragraph (1) (a) shall not be evasive but shall answer the point of substance.
