PART III - APPOINTMENT OF JUDGES AND JURISDICTION OF SYARIAH COURTS

Section 7. Appointment of Syariah Appeal Court Judges.

(1) The Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan, after consulting the Menteri Besar and the Chief Syarie Judge, appoint seven Muslims to constitute a standing panel of Syariah Appeal Court Judges.

(2) A person who is appointed under subsection (1) shall hold office for a period of three years and is eligible for reappointment.

(3) Every appointment under subsection (1) shall be published in the Gazette.
