Section 72. Examination of complainant.
(1) When a Judge takes cognisance of an offence on complaint, he shall at once examine the complainant upon oath as in Form 7 of the Schedule and the substance of the examination shall be reduced to writing and shall be signed by the complainant and also by the Judge.
(2) This section shall not apply to a complaint of an offence where a summons is applied for by a Religious Enforcement Officer acting in his official capacity.
