Section 56. Appointment of Registrar of Marriage, Divorce and Rujuk.

(1) The Kadi Besar shall be the Chief Registrar of Marriage, Divorce and Rujuk for Muslims for the whole State and every Kadi shall be Deputy Registrar for the area under his jurisdiction as Kadi.

(2) The Chief Registrar and Deputy Registars of Marriage, Divorce and Rujuk shall have such right and powers and perform such duties as may be conferred or imposed upon them by this Enactment or any rules made thereunder.
