PART VII - GUARDIANSHIP Guardianship of Person and Property
Section 101. Guardian of orphan.
Where the father and the paternal grandfather of a minor have died without appointing a testamentary guardian, any penghulu, police officer not below the rank of Sergeant, any person having the custody of the minor, or any person with the powers of a Protector under the Children and Young Act 1947 [Act 232], may cause the minor to be taken before the Court and the Court may appoint a guardian of the minor’s person and property or either of them.
