Section 49. (No Title)
(1) Whoever intentionally gives false evidence in any stage of a judicial proceeding, or fabricates false evidence for the purpose of being used in any stage of a judicial proceeding, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
(2) Whoever intentionally gives or fabricates false evidence in any other case shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding two thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both.
