Section 96. Tenure of office of Mosque Officials.

(1) Every Mosque Official shall hold office at the pleasure of the Majlis and the Majlis may terminate or dismiss any Mosque Official by giving one month notice but no Mosque Official shall remain in office after reaching the age of sixty:

Provided that the Majlis may if it deems necessary, appoint a person who is more than sixty years to hold any office of Mosque Official upon such terms deemed fit.

(2) It shall be the duty of the Secretary to bring to the notice of the Majlis any unbecoming conduct of any Mosque Official whether in relation to his duties as such or otherwise and the Secretary shall make any recommendations he deems fit.
