PART II - MAJLIS AGAMA ISLAM DAN ADAT ISTIADAT MELAYU KELANTAN

Section 6. Power and duty of Majlis.

(1) The Majlis shall have the power to act as the executor of a will, the administrator of the estate of a deceased person or as trustee, of any trust.

(2) The majlis may enter to contracts and may acquire, purchase, take, hold and enjoy movable and immovable property of every description and subject to the convey, assign, surrender, yield up, charge. demise, mortgage, reassign, transfer or otherwise dispose or deal with any movable or immovable property vested in the Majlis upon such terms as to the Majlis seems fit and in accordance with Hukum Syarak.

(3) The Majlis may establish, administer and control welfare homes for orphans or others in the like manner.

(4) The Majlis shall have the duty on all the command of His Royal Highness the Sultan to take any action to raise the status of the Religion of Islam in the State and for such purpose the Majlis may plan and carry out any activity in connection therewith.
