ADMINISTRATION OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS (TERENGGANU) ENACTMENT 1422H/2001M

PART II - MAJLIS AGAMA ISLAM DAN ADAT MELAYU AND APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS

Section 4. Establishment of the Majlis.

(1) There shall be a body to be known as the “Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Melayu” to aid and advise the Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan in matters relating to the religion of Islam.

(2) Upon the commencement of this section, the Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Melayu existing before such commencement by virtue of the previous Enactment shall be deemed to be the Majlis referred to in subsection (1).

(3) Every right, authority, duty and liability, which before the commencement of this Enactment is vested in or charged on the previous Majlis shall, upon the commencement of this Enactment, vest in and be charged on the Majlis, insofar as they are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Enactment.

(4) Every description of property, movable or immovable which before the commencement of this Enactment was vested in the previous Majlis shall, upon the commencement of this Enactment, vest in the Majlis without any conveyance, assignment or transfer.
