PART III - THE FATWA COMMITTEE


Section 14. Procedure Fatwa Committee’s Meeting

(1) The Mufti shall be the Chairman in all meetings of the Fatwa Committee.

(2) If the Mufti is absent due to ill health or other reasons, the Deputy Mufti may chair the meeting of the Fatwa Committee.

(3) All meetings of the Fatwa Committee shall be summoned by the Secretary.

(4) The Chairman may at any time direct the Secretary to summon a meeting.

(5) The Committee may, subject to this Enactment, decide on all matters related to its procedure and practice.
