PART VI - INSPECTION OF RELIGIOUS SCHOOLS BY REGISTRAR, ETC.
Section 26. Power to investigate.
(1) The Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Assistant Registrar, Inspector of Schools, an authorised person or a police officer not below the rank of Inspector shall have the power to investigate into the commission of an offence under this Enactment.
(2) The Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Assistant Registrar, Inspector of Schools, an authorised officer or a police officer not below the rank of Inspector may, in relation to any investigation in respect of an offence under this Enactment, exercise the special powers in relation to police investigations except that the powers to arrest without warrant given by the Criminal Procedure Code [Act 593] in any seizable offence shall not be exercised by the Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Assistant Registrar, Inspector of Schools or authorised officer.
