Section 47. Commencement of Civil Proceedings.

(1) All civil proceedings shall be commenced by the filing of a plaint in or by the making of an oral complaint to a Court, accompanied by the prescribed fee. In the case of an oral complaint the Court shall draft a plaint for the plaintiff, which shall be signed and filled by the said plaintiff.

(2) The Plaint shall contain the names, addresses and descriptions of the parties, a concise statement of the cause of action (without argument or detail) and a statement of the relief claimed or judgment prayed.

(3) The plaintiff shall file with the Court the original plaint and shall furnish the Court with as many copies thereof as there are defendants.
