PART IV - MAINTENANCE OD DEPENDANTS
Section 83. Wives.
(1) A married woman may by application in the Court of a Kadhi obtain an order against her husband or the payment from time to time of any such sums in respect of her maintenance as she may be entitled to in accordance with Hukum Shara'.
(2) A woman who has been divorced may by application in the Court of a Kadhi obtain an order against her former husband for the payment in respect of the period of eddah, if the divorce was by one or two talak, or in any case in respect of the period of her pregnancy by the former husband, of any such sums in respect of her maintenance as she may be entitled to in accordance with Hukum Shara'.
