PART II - MAJLIS AGAMA ISLAM DAN ADAT ISTIADAT MELAYU KELANTAN
Section 5. Establishment and incorporation of Majlis Agama Islam and Adat Istiadat Melayu Kelantan.
(1) There is hereby established a body which shall be known as "Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Istiadat Melayu Kelantan" to assist His Royal Highness the Sultan and shall act on His Highness Command in respect of all matters relating to the Religion of Islam and Malay Custom and the Majlis shall be the chief authority in the State in all matters relating thereto.
(2) The Majlis shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and shall have a common seal which may from time to time be broken, changed, altered and made anew as considered necessary by the Mailis and until a seal is provided under this section, a stamp bearing the inscription "Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Istiadat Melayu Kelantan" may be used as a corporate seal.
(3) The Majlis may sue and be sued in its corporate name.
(4) The seal of the Majlis shall be certified by the President and the Secretary of the Majlis and one other member of the Majlis and any letter which is certified as sealed with the said seal shall, unless the contrary is proved, be presumed to be properly issued.
(5) The documents which require to be sealed with the seal of the MajIis include-
(a) documents that required to be registered in the land office;
(b) letters of authority of pegawai masjid;
(c) letters giving authority to any person to carry out anything for any definite purpose or purposes on behalf of the Majlis;
(d) documents or other letters which are decided by His Royal Highness the Sultan from time to time according to his command.
(6) The seal of the Majlis shall be given official and judicial notice.
(7) When not in use, the seal of the Majlis shall always be in the custody of the Secretary of the Majlis.
