PART IV - GENERAL

Section 26. Change of name of Mahkamah Kadi.

(1) Upon the commencement of this Enactment, all Mahkamah Kadi shall be known as Syariah Lower Courts and be deemed to be Syariah Lower Courts constituted under section 4 of this Enactment.

(2) All persons who prior to the commencement of this Enactment held office of Kadi shall, subject to this Enactment, be deemed to be Judges of the Syariah Lower Court.

(3) The person who, prior to the commencement of this Enactment, held office of kadi Besar shall, subject to this Enactment, be deemed to the Chief Syarie Judge.
